1999 Meeting Minutes

January 19, 1999 6:30 PM

Those Present: Carroll Steele, Rick Wheeler, Ron Repp and Gary Jackson.

Agreed to transfer funds as per request from State Board of Accounts.

Agreed to reappoint Ed Arthur for another 4 year term. Mr. Ross Township must appoint him in writing.

IDEM fee due of $700.00, and was voted to pay.

Rick Wheeler, Supt. Reported that IDEM is requesting a new test, ammonia test. We do not have the equipment to do this and he has been having it done by an outside lab. He has requested that we purchase this equipment.

Rick also advised that IDEM requests a survey of the Creek in which we flow into.  He is to contact someone to do this.

New apartment house units in our area required discussion of tap fee. We will discuss at next meeting after some investigation. Also our ordinance is to be checked.

Roger Lindsey has been our attorney for years, however the last 2 years we have not received much service, in part due to an illness. However, some board members feel we should seek another legal advisor. Ron Repp is to look into this.

February, March, April and May 1999

No meetings were held these months because there was really nothing to come before the board. Everything is taken care of on a daily basis by either C.T. Steele or Rick Wheeler.

June 15, 1999

Those Present: Carroll Steele, Edward Arthur, Rick Wheeler, Roger Lindsey, Ron Repp and Gary Jackson.

FMHA payment is due 7/1/99. This will be mailed on time as usual.

Discussed State Board of Account recommendations. Bank Accounts and bookkeeping system. Gary and Patty Jackson are to set a system up on their computer.

Discussed Keith Wiggam closing trailer tap after selling trailer. This will not be used and we are transferring this to their new home.

Decision was made on taps for duplexes. There will be 1 tap fee for each meter or apartment. $500.00 each. Passed on motion by Ed Arthur and second by Gary Jackson.

Roger Lindsey, Attorney, attended and informed us he could no longer serve as our attorney.

Prospects of replacement was Betty Carver, David Lewis, Sam Green and Virgil Boley.

November 16, 1999 6:30 PM

Those Present:  Carroll Steele, Edward Arthur, Rick Wheeler, Ron Repp and Gary Jackson.

We were to interview an Attorney to replace Roger Lindsey. He is David Lewis, however at the last moment he had to cancel. We will reschedule for Dec. 21, 1999.

Rick Wheeler discussed the new stream gauge that was installed.

Discussed new taps and prospective ones.
